THE fight against crime in Wyre Forest has received a £29,000 Government cash boost as part of a national £20 million windfall.
The cash, which has been welcomed by Wyre Forest Community Safety Partnership co-ordinator Paul Schubert, will be used to implement the partnership's recently unveiled crimebusting strategy.
Following a survey and consultation, the strategy identified eight priority areas for action over the next three years.
These include anti-social behaviour, domestic burglary, drugs and alcohol, public reassurance, vehicle crime, violent crime, vulnerable communities and improving the partnership.
