IAN Britton has been named as Kidderminster Harriers' new manager.
The youth and reserve team boss, who has made a good impression in a caretaker role since Jan Molby resigned, will be charged with maintaining the club's progress in the Football League within a tight budget.
Chairman Colin Youngjohns admitted the appointment was "the best financial option" for the cash-strapped Division Three club.
Britton, who has been at the club on a part-time basis for 11 years while working as a financial adviser, is still finalising the details of his contract.
He has already released five players from Aggborough during his seven-game spell as caretaker manager.
Mr Youngjohns said: "We are all about continuity and Ian Britton has been an important part. We want to keep that going. "
