GOLF: Wyre Forest golfers are aiming to win a trip of a lifetime by reaching the next stage of the Lombard Trophy.
Wharton Park professional Daniel Glee and amateur David Gallagher join Cleobury Mortimer's Martin Payne and Les Madeley in the race for the finals in San Lorenzo, Portugal.
Gallagher took his first step towards the luxury five-day trip by winning his club's qualifying competition with a nett score of 69.
The Far Forest man plays off a handicap of 20, while team-mate Clee has been Wharton Park's professional for five years.
Madeley, who won Cleobury qualifying with a nett 70, plays off a 17-handicap and Payne has been professional there for two years.
The regional final is on May 24 at Enville Golf Club with a round of betterball medal play.
