PARISH COUNCIL: Bypass: The Chairman read out the statement "Do you wish to close access to the village at the Moor Island to all traffic except emergency vehicles, buses and cyclists?" Councillors voted for this. After discussions of the statement, councillors disagreed with this and a second vote was taken. Five councillors were against, chairman in favour. Parish Councillors recommended: Access only to Village, 20mph limit, 7.5T restriction and lights on bridge. They would like to reserve the right to have additional traffic calming installed. A summary of the results would be used to make the final decision. The chairman asked about wording of signs from the roundabouts, presuming access only. County councillor Mrs Tucker to report back.
