CHRIS Garrard has snubbed moves to four Premiership clubs by committing his future to Sixways.

The winger, who has scored 25 tries this season in National One, has put pen to paper on a new two-year contract at Worcester Rugby Club.

The Australian had been offered deals by Harlequins, Bath and Leeds Tykes while Gloucester also showed interest after his fine debut year in England.

"There were a few options open to me," he said. "However, I didn't want to go to a Premiership club and just be a squad player. I would rather stay as an established player at Worcester and get them into the top flight. The way things have turned around since Christmas, I think things are looking good."

Meanwhile, Elton Moncrief looks set to leave Sixways. Moncrief has hardly played this season because of a long-standing injury from his days at Gloucester. His squad place will be filled by new signing Werner Swanepoel. The South African scrum-half has signed a two-year contract.

Other high-profile Worcester players set to leave include Alistair Murdoch and Dave Sims.
