I WRITE with reference to the recent improvement of the highway standards at the Mayfields junction and its immediate proximity to the main distributor road infrastructure.
Has Redditch Highways Partnership considered the advantages that could be gained by utilising the existing quality Victorian engineering of the old railway tunnel, which creates a convenient link to the new bus station?
The main work for this route already exists and could possibly attract lottery or European finance as a conservation project which would also tidy up this forgotten piece of Redditch heritage.
