UP to 200 jobs will be generated following the £2.3 million sale of a disused industrial unit in Redditch - now set to be transformed into a thriving business centre, writes Becky Procter.

The former Redditch Skills Centre in Moons Moat has been bought by business space management company Mentmore Abbey plc, which has created room for several new firms at the 110,000sq ft building.

The unit was owned by Danish brake and clutch lining manufacturers Roulunds Codan, which has since transferred its production line premises to Poland.

Imex Spaces, owned by Mentmore Abbey, has converted the factory and office complex into a fully serviced office and light industrial business centre, with units from 1,000 sq ft upwards.

Imex has 167 business centres around the country, including nine in Birmingham and 26 in the West Midlands.
