A REDDITCH company director cannot hold directorships or take any part in company management for four years after his business went into liquidation with debts estimated at more than £600,000.
The Insolvency Service revealed last week Andrew McGoldrick, of Charles Street, Headless Cross, was given an undertaking in respect of his conduct as a director of Plymouth-based constructional engineering firm Pile Breaker Ltd.
The company went into liquidation on March 27, 2000, with no assets and liabilities and estimated debts of £618,945 owed to creditors.
Acceptance of the undertaking on March 21 this year prevents Mr McGoldrick from being a company director, being concerned with or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company in any way for four years, whether directly or indirectly.
The Insolvency Service is an executive agency of the Department of Trade and Industry.
An Insolvency Service spokesman said: "The unfit conduct was that Mr McGoldrick caused Pile Breaker to trade at the risk of creditors from May 1999 until cessation, resulting in an increase in creditors of at least £374,516."
