BIRMINGHAM City Ladies can bounce back from the disappointment of their 7-1 League Cup final mauling at the hands of Fulham by doing the double.

Blues sit top of the Northern Division of the AXA Premier League, seven points clear of second placed Oldham Curzon with two games in hand courtesy of their AXA Premier League Cup exploits.

The champions-elect have agreed a groundshare at Redditch United's Valley Stadium next season after a couple of guest appearances this year.

Blues, managed by QPR star Marcus Bignot, will play their final home league game at the Valley and are looking at next week with the possibility of the match against lowly Garswood Saints being a night game.

And if Birmingham win at second from bottom Man City on Sunday (ko 2pm), that could be the game which sees them win the title.

Third placed Wolves are the biggest threat to Blues because they have played the same number of games and trail Bignot's side by eight points.

If Birmingham do win promotion to the top flight they will have to field a reserve team next season because of a new FA directive.

The club intends to use its current Hollyfields ground in Erdington for the reserves while the first team share with Redditch United and Feckenham.

But Bignot says the requirement to blood a second string will hit the club.

Left midfielder Jo Potter and centre back Sarah Wooliscroft are expected to return after being cup-tied at the weekend.

There is a possibility Blues' potential title-decider against Wolves could be staged at Molineux.
