AN Alcester man has taken steps to prove himself as an established writer and a superb guide to the great outdoors.

Roger Noyce is an experienced rambler with a wide knowledge of Britain's footpaths.

His newly published book, Worcestershire Teashop Walks, looks set to follow the success of his past guides, Pub Strolls in Worcestershire, Waterside Walks in Staffordshire and Pub Strolls around Bristol and Bath.

His latest publication takes the reader around 20 circular routes and includes sketch maps, a photograph of the teashop accompanying each walk description, details on how to get to the start and where to park.

The walks vary in length from three-and-a-half to seven miles and are designed to be within the scope of the average person, including the not-so-young and family groups.

Mr Noyce is keen to emphasise just how much Worcestershire has in store.

Worcestershire Teashop Walks is published by Countryside Books at £7.95 and is available from local booksellers.
