Thieves stole hundreds of toy lawn mowers and wheelbarrows from a lorry near junction three of the M42 as the driver slept.

Redditch police believe 282 lawn mowers and 88 wheelbarrows, costing about £1,000, were taken from the lorry.

The vehicle was parked on a lay-by on the A435 and the theft happened between 9pm last Tuesday and 6am last Wednesday after its curtain side was slashed.

Redditch police have said there may be a reward for information leading to an arrest or charge of an offender.
