I AM not the most deep-thinking person in the Worcester area.

However, it does not need a brain surgeon to realise the Pershore cannot cope with an influx of 750 people.

Pershore is a very forward thinking town but there is no way on this earth that doctors, dentists, prenatal care, schooling enfant, junior, and secondary, would be able to sustain these people, without causing a riot amongst the local folk in Pershore.

I do not know why the Government is even thinking of such a small market town. However, the city of Worcester has just vacated two hospital sites.

There are more than 600 beds vacant and kitchens large enough to cater for such a large number of people.

As the asylum seekers would not be given cars (just for the time being) the car parks could still be used for the staff at the new hospital site.

So is it such a bad idea? I do have some sympathy with these people. They deserve a fit and proper home - so come on Whitehall, have another go.

COUN GARY KIBBLEWHITE,

Worcester.
