STUDLEY Blue and White Rope Skippers have been crowned the best in the world in a first for the club.

The perennial British Champions took the top prize at the world championships in Belgium.

It was the 12-14s who lifted the title in their age section competing for the club who represented Great Britain.

The Studley champs beat off competition from 10 other teams including crack outfits from the host nation, Austria, Hungary, the USA and Sweden.

The world champs are at Naaden, Holland on Sunday, May 5 for a team competition and compete in an individual and team competition at Szombathely, Hungary in June.

The world-beating club welcome a Canadian demonstration team at the end of June and attend a Euro Camp in Sweden in July.

The club, who have been featured in the Sunday Times, are searching for sponsors to help with travelling costs and kit and anyone interested can ring Sue Dale on 854194.
