A PENSIONER in her late 70s collapsed and was rescued from her smoke-filled Great Witley home after a pan of milk overheated and caught fire.
Fire crews from Kidderminster and Stourport were called to the house at Woodbury Close on Wednesday, April 3 at about 9.50pm.
They forced their way in through the front door into the smoke-logged hallway, where they found the woman had fallen unconscious.
Paramedics treated her as the scene before being taken to hospital by ambulance. No damage was caused to the house as the fire was confined to the pan.
A Kidderminster Police spokeswoman said the woman's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
