FOLLOWING your recent coverage of the fire at the Abbey Stadium bowls pavilion, I would like to make some further comments with regards to the people affected by this act of mindless vandalism.
Like many other young mothers, I regularly use the sports facilities at the Abbey Stadium.
I am only able to do this because of the excellent service provided by Abbey Stadium staff who run a crche in the pavilion.
The crche is run by a number of keen, dedicated staff who had the use of superb facilities in the pavilion.
While recognising the impact of the loss of the facilities to the various sports teams, I am seeking through these pages to make your readership aware of the excellent facilities and the impact of the fire upon our children's crche.
I hope a similar facility can be restored as soon as possible so our children do not suffer.
