WORCESTER MP Mike Foster had his sights on helping the blind when he helped launch a new braille menu at The Swan at Whittington.
The city MP joined local care support worker Andrea Steele from Awareness Support in introducing the new specially designed menus
Awareness Support aims to raise blind awareness by encouraging and enabling businesses to provide large print and braille menus, time-tables and price lists.
Paul Hopkins, who is blind, tested the new menus out when during the launch, which took place at the restaurant on Saturday, April 6.
The menus, which were produced at the Queen Alexandra College, Harborne, Birmingham, have larger print as well as braille.
Mark Ballard, general manager at The Swan, said he was proud to have the menus, which he added would include students from the nearby Royal National Institute for the Blind College.
