MATHON, Cradley & Storridge (MCS) Men's A team maintained their unbeaten Winter Tennis League record with a hard earned draw away to Ludlow Castle.

Ludlow put out a strong side, which included their club coach.

In damp overcast conditions Tony Dalley and Duncan Hannaford started well on the all weather artificial grass court playing some consistent baseline tennis to win the opening rubber 7-5, 6-4.

Mark Kavanagh and James Plant lost their opening rubber 3-6, 3-6. However Mark and James were much more confident on the slippery surface in their second rubber, which they won in straight sets 7-5, 6-2. However, Tony and Duncan lost their second rubber 6-7, 0-6, to leave both sides earning a deserved point each.

With one match left MCS need to beat Hallow Tennis Club to win the division.
