A WORCESTER IT company says the world wide web has "flung the shop door wide open" for local businesses.
KD Bancroft, of Chase End Close, Battenhall, is helping companies in Worcestershire pursue international trade through the web.
"Utilising worldwide technology is helping our partner companies trade internationally," said Karen Lewis, director of KD Bancroft, which specialises in IT training and development, and internet services. The company celebrates its first year of trading this month.
Auctions
"In particular, internet auctions have been a huge success, allowing companies to sell their goods all over the world," continued Miss Lewis, who has called Worcester home for the past eight years.
"The web has flung the shop door wide open and made every PC user a potential buyer. We provide the means for our customers to have their goods seen by literally thousands of people all over the globe, and the majority of sales are made within days."
She said small companies in Worcestershire had much to offer the rest of the world.
"Worcester is seen as a great historical city and people from all over the world want to do business with us. There is, therefore, every opportunity to use the power of the web and exploit all it has to offer."
