A host of musicians from across the Malvern region play a special evening of acoustic music at the Downs School in Colwall on Saturday, January 26, at 8pm.
Caf Malvernia features Heather Joyce, a professional musician from West Malvern, playing original material accompanied by a banjo.
Alongside her will be West Malvern concertina and fiddle duo Dave Young and John Williams, Ray & Simon, a classical guitar pair from Upton and Malvern, and Marie Therese, Rob and Andrew.
"It's acoustic music for a listening audience," said Jonathan Penley, organiser of the evening. "Even though it's all local musicians involved, the standard of music will be quite high."
Jonathan also plays in Flatworld, a four-piece group who will be playing an eclectic mix of world music.
He said: "What we play is particularly Eastern European tunes, especially Jewish songs as well as French tunes, French-Canadian ones. It is slightly different from the norm.
"I used to be in a circle dance band and we used to play those type of songs and that inspired me to learn more."
Tickets are £3 on the door.
