CAJUN and Zydeco bands from around the world will be descending on Glouc-ester next week for what promises to be a rip-roaring International Festival.
Some of the biggest names in roots music are playing the Gloucester Intern-ational Cajun and Zydeco Festival 2002 from January 25-27.
Randy Vidrine and Mitchell Read have travelled from the US for the event with Dutch group Cajun Company, France's Doc Zydeco and Z Funk, Zigazag. UK band Hot Box will also be playing.
Cajun music was originally played by the white French population in Louis-iana, whilst Zydeco was performed by black French-speaking people. Tickets are available from 01452 505089.
