Malvern Town last night signed 20 year old Former Worcester City and Moor Green player Wes Joyce.

Joyce who has been playing for Moor Green in the Doc Martens Premier Division, has not featured for The Moorlands club since Christmas and although they wanted Joyce to stay, the player, hot on the heels of striker Dean Roberts, who signed for Malvern last week from Evesham United, has decided to try his luck with the Express and Star,West Midlands League, Premier Division side.

Town general manager Richard Anson said: "We have been keeping an eye on Wes's situation for a few weeks now, and we view his signing as a significant one."

"Certainly, he can do a job for us either up front or at the back and he will make his debut in the home game against Wolverhampton Casuals tomorrow."

"As with Dean Roberts, Wes really just wants to get his head down, start playing regular football again and see where this leads him, during this time we hope we can encourage him to see a future at Malvern, as he is young and will get better and can help in our drive to start progressing up the pyramid."
