Like a number of other parents, last October I took my child, who is in year six at primary school, to the secondary schools in and around Malvern to make her decision as to which school she would like to go to ie Hanley Castle, The Chase and Dyson Perrins.
Having made her decision and filled in the required form, I am now informed by letter from the LEA that my daughter has not been accepted at either her first or second choice of school. Having contacted the LEA I am told my daughter's options are to attend one of two schools in Worcester.
Can someone explain to me why, as a Malvern Council Tax payer, I now have to send my daughter to Worcester to be educated? I'm sure I am not the only parent in this position. This isn't a new problem. Last year the Chase was oversubscribed and Dyson Perrins came to the rescue!
