WHERE there was once a beautiful English meadow where rare wild flowers and grasses grew, we are now faced with the ugly and roughly ploughed field of Malvern Girls' College.

It is extremely surprising that from a college, where education, learning and enlightenment are expected to emerge, spills forth actions which are destructive to both the local environment and community.

For over a generation we have never been stopped from using the field although we all knew it belonged to the college. We benefited from it and valued its use, but does the college value the local community of Malvern from which it too has received benefit, both financial and other.
