PLANS for the resurrection of the Malvern town centre manager post will go before a full meeting of Malvern Hills District Council on Tuesday after provoking little comment at this week's Executive Board meeting.
The matter was discussed in passing as part of a report into economic prosperity and town centre regeneration.
The issue of cost was raised by board member Coun Paul Cummings. He asked: "Whilst I have no argument with the recommendations being put forward we do need to consider the cost."
Speaking after the meeting economic development officer Sharon Gary said: "There are no problems with the principle but it will be the resource issue that eventually determines whether it goes ahead."
The scheme would have a £100,000 budget and the town manager would also cover Upton and Tenbury Wells.
A similar post was axed by the authority two years ago to save money.
