AN Evening News reader proved he was in the driving seat after collecting the car he won.
Derek Bradley gave his new Rover 25 a big thumbs-up when he collected it from Startin Rover.
Mr Bradley found out he won the car just before Christmas after entering the Evening News Win a Rover competition.
The draw took place at Startin Rover, in Ombersley Road, Worcester when the finalists' names were put into one box and a set of keys was placed into another box.
As each name was drawn out, a set of keys was also drawn out and the entrant had to see if the key fitted the lock.
The joint Evening News-Startin competition was launched in October last year and attracted 3,500 entries.
The finalists were treated to champagne and mince pies and the draw was made by Evening News Editor Stewart Gilbert and Startin dealer principal John Whiles.
Mr Bradley, of Brookthorpe Close, Warndon, collected the car yesterday.
"The car's a fabulous prize," he said.
