Cotswold League
A SMALL but vociferous band of supporters were treated to one of the most exciting and skilful sessions of floorball in this year's league.
Mickleton opened with a 2-1 win over St David's, thanks to two goals from Will Begg. Ed Dale replied for the Moreton side.
Mickleton then lost 2-1 to holders Dormer House. The scorer for Mickleton was Ashley Spencer and for Dor-mer House, Jack Ashcroft and Ben Goddard.
The best match of the night saw St David's and Dormer House contest a hard fought 4-4 tie. John Newbould netted all the St David's goals, one of them a well-taken penalty shot.
These were cancelled out by a George Barber hat-trick, bucked up by Ashcroft's free-hit.
Only four matches remain in the A Division. Mickleton, Longborough and Dormer House seem set to qualify, with St David's still have a good chance.
St Catharine's are in pole position in the B section, while St James' have qualified from section C.
