MANAGER of the Lygon Arms in Broadway, Barry Hancox, has promised that repair work outside the hotel will start soon.
The news follows months of complaints by Broadway villagers and visitors, that the uneven pavements outside the hotel, and outside Barn Close surgery were dangerous.
Worcestershire County Council's highways department repaired the paving outside Barn Close surgery and now the ownership of the land has been established as belonging to the hotel, work will start there shortly.
Villager Sylvia Sharp, who was injured last year when she tripped and fell outside Barn Close surgery, said: "I am glad the repairs are to go ahead. Soon I will be able to take my grandchild past the Lygon without the fear of falling."
