THE First Division championship race was blown wide open as Moreton Wanderers crashed to a surprise defeat at Bredon.

A Lee Diamond double, including a penalty, was enough for the home side. Wanderers replied through Winter.

Guiting Rangers recorded their first league win of the season as two goals from Clarke helped defeat Hospital Club who replied with a Moss penalty.

A Neil Annis double gave Upton Snodsbury the Division Two points at Peopleton and moved the winners within a point of leaders Willersey.

Third Division leaders Ambassador won their 11th successive league match, hitting seven at Oddfellows Arms. The goalscorers were Emms (3), Taylor (2), Davies and James.

The promotion clash at Honeybourne saw visitors Salford Rovers take the spoils with the help of an own goal and strikes from Frost and Edwards. The home side replied with goals from Layton and Wormington.

Bidford Bulls won at Trumpeteers with goals from Freeman, Fraser, Welch and Berry.

Mountinneers moved into third place in Division Four as two goals from Stanton completed the double over visitors Broadway United Reserves.

Shipston Sports and Servicemen's scored 13 goals between them with the home side coming out on top hitting eight through Hill (4), Faulkner (3) and Beaumont. Servicemen's replied through Malin (2), Jelfs (2) and Griffiths.

Ashton Reserves pulled away from the re-election zone with a welcome win over Tewkesbury Town thanks to goals from Hunn (2), Kelsall, Pritchard and Osbo-urne.

The highlight in the Evesham Hospital Junior Cup was the surprise defeat of holders Bretforton VIC at the hands of Tewkesbury Town.

Mickleton Rangers, Evesham WMC and Willersey complete the semi-final line up.
