Littleton U-11 8, Evesham Utd 0

BOTH teams took time to settle in Saturday's cup quarter-final but it was Littleton who took the lead when Matt Goss converted Dan Keen's cross.

Keen then set up Goss for his second after a great four-man move and Ben Johns then made it three when his shot went in off the underside of the bar.

Keen, who was a constant threat down the right, then set-up Johns for a fourth. Ryan Clarke was then on hand to make it five when he fired home after a goalmouth scramble.

The second half saw Littleton do most of the attacking but Evesham's Callum Tustin was unlucky when, after a great solo run, his shot hit an upright.

Matt Taylor then ran from halfway beating several players before calmly beating the keeper to further increase the lead.

The impressive Keen the got on the scoresheet with a neat volley and the same player finished off the scoring when he ran through unchallenged.

Littleton U-9 11, Peopleton 1

THE resumption of the season after Christmas break sees Littleton still on top form despite a heavy pitch.

A goal after just two minutes by Kyle Brotherton opened the way to an easy victory.

The scorer went on to complete his hat-trick as did Alex Trinder. Two goals from Craig Stanley and one apiece from Liam Hundley, Andrew Toms and Ben Goss rounded off the rout.

A well struck free-kick from the edge of the area gave Peopleton's Ryan Wosket a consolation goal.

Bredon Colts U-12 1,

Stratford Jnrs 1

Bredon won 2-1 on penalties.

GOALKEEPER Jamie Moore was Bredon's hero as his side made fortunate progress into the third round of the League Cup.

Moore saved two Stratford kicks in the penalty shoot-out after the sides had scored one goal each in normal time. Daniel Keating and captain William Cook were Bredon's scorers from the penalty spot.

The visitors defended with determination and a great competitive spirit that underdogs possess.

The final ball let down Bredon time and time again and Stratford were happy to get behind the ball and counter-attack from deep.

It was goalless at half-time but a diagonal ball from Dave Mace and a crisp finish from Arron Phillips finally broke the deadlock.

Phillips and James Offord came closest to extending Bredon's lead but it was the visitors who found the net seven minutes from time to take the game into a shoot-out.

Evesham Jnrs 0, Evesham Utd 9

LEAGUE leaders United easily took the honours from the derby clash.

After a quiet start, Savage gave United the lead and he added two more to complete a first-half hat-trick.

Bearcroft's bravery saw him score his side's fourth of the half and the winners bettered that tally after the restart with Hall grabbing a fine treble and Brown and Scarrot rounding off the goal feast.

Southside Blues 0,

Badsey Rgrs U-12 21

SHOOTING practice was the order of the day against a nine-strong home side.

Joe Smith opened the scoring after four minutes, Jamie Miles made it 2-0 and then Ben Holland scored three times in five frantic minutes.

Dane Aldington completed his first-half hat-trick and then added a fourth before Smith and Jamie Clarke made 11-0 at the break.

Despite making several changes, the free scoring continued after the interval with Smith adding six more to take his total to eight.

Aldington, who edged out Stefan Ellis for the player of the match award, and Holland took their totals to five and four respectively before Ellis and Marcus Humpston joined in the spree as Rangers moved up to second in the table on the back of 53 goals in the last five games during which time they haven't conceded a goal.

Salford Rvrs U-13 3,

Evesham Colts 3 (aet)

ROVERS were given a reprieve after losing Sunday's cup tie when league officials decided that the penalty shoot-out should be declared void!

A replay will now take place and the controversial finish certainly cast a cloud over what had been a great game.

Both defences were kept on their toes throughout with Salford keeper Richard Print doing his best to keep out the Colts.

He was helpless when Mat Knight gave the visitors the lead but Jamie Coughlan levelled before the break.

Mat Layton the put Rovers ahead after a run and cross from Josh Cocker and the same player then made it 3-1 after some fine play from Ashley Wilkes.

However, Evesham were rewarded for some enterprising play with goals from Will Gayton and Harry Cain brought the scores level.

Extra-time failed to produce any more goals ahead of the unnecessary shoot-out. Jack Stedman was Salford's player of the match.

Badsey 1, Broadway 6

BROADWAY'S first game for three weeks saw an excellent display and a comfortable victory.

In a competitive first half, Luke McDonagh opened the scoring for Broadway with a well-taken goal, while Tom Johnstone hit the post three times and only some excellent goalkeeping kept the score at 1-0 at half-time.

Johnstone made it two so after the restart with a fine solo effort and then followed up quickly with his second. McDonagh then scored his second after a fine pass from Johnstone.

Broadway continued to pass the ball around and Johnstone completed his hat- trick with another excellent strike.

Harrison Parker tapped in following another cross from Johnstone and only more fine saves from the Badsey keeper stopped Broadway adding to the tally.

Badsey gained some consolation when Nicky Spires pulled a goal back.

Evesham Utd U11s 3 Langford 1

UNITED moved eight points clear at the top of the Witney League with a hard fought victory.

The game was scrappy to start with but United created the chances and looked more likely to score.

After 15 minutes Langford had their first serious pressure and when the ball was played into the home team's penalty area it was cleared, but caught a defender's arm just inside the box, and Langford were awarded a penalty.

Bridges scored from the spot and Langford's first and only shot of the game put Evesham behind for the first time this season.

This sparked Evesham into action but it remained 1 - 0 at half-time.

In the second half Evesham started to pass the ball around well led by Adam Styles from midfield and were themselves awarded a penalty after a trip in the area.

Scott Andrews struck the ball well but the goalkeeper got down to make a good save.

With 15 minutes left Evesham finally found their hero in Lance Smith. First he broke away and shot past the keeper to make it 1 - 1. Then he broke away only to run out of pitch.

A third break away saw Smith place the ball brilliantly past the oncoming keeper. With time running out he completed his hat trick shooting from close-range.

After turning the match around Smith's teammates carried him off the pitch!

Evesham Utd U-15 7,

Worcester Rangers 0

EVESHAM booked a semi-final place against Warndon after a good team display against a side Rangers that never gave up.

United scored an early goal when left back Daniel Parry put Daniel Millward through to score.

By half-time Millward had netted his second and Luke Kennedy and a Shaun Stanley rocket made it 4 - 0.

Evesham did all the pressing in the second half with Luke Gresty and Ben Brotherton controlling the middle of the park.

Further goals followed from Stanley with a header from Ben Tustin cross and two goals from Kennedy who completed a deserved hat-trick.

Evesham FDS U-9 4,

Hollywell Harriers 2

HARRIERS took a two-goal lead in this Central Warwickshire League fixture before FDS got to grips with the opposition.

Tom Goodwin pulled one back before half time when he met a corner kick with a low powerful volley.

This was the encouragement the team needed and they responded well in the second half with Goodwin chalking up his hat-trick and George Whiston rounding of the scoring.

There were excellent contributions from player of the match James Youster and centre half David Cleaton, while Joshua Cook showed promise on his league debut.
