COUNCILLOR Mike Oborski is right to think that the incinerator fiasco will damage public confidence in Worcestershire County Council (Shuttle/Times and News, December 27).
I am struggling to decide if some of the councillors are nave, or just plain stupid.
Mercia Waste Management is a subsidiary of a multi-national company, with a turnover of hundreds of millions of pounds.
To say that it can't find £1.2 million is no more than pressure tactics.
It is ridiculous that the council's "secret cabinet" fell for such a simple ploy.
