SAILING: The opening races of Trimpley Sailing Club's new winter series began with light to moderate winds and a good turnout.
Three GP14s and one Laser raced in the Saturday Snowflake Series.
Ray Drury and crew Simon Fletcher won both races with Rob Hart and Paul Wooddisse second and Jeff Waltier and crew Eric Reed taking third spot.
Eddie Hillman was the lone Laser sailor.
Nine GPs and three Lasers sailed in the first of the Sunday Icicle series.
In the Single Handed, Roger Stretton beat Glen Caulwell with Rod Ling third.
The main series saw eight GPs sail in a steady breeze.
Eric and Doreen Grimwood won the first race from Stretton and Mike Skinner.
The second went to Stretton and Skinner from Jeff Halford and Dawn Bradley.
In Lasers, Hillman beat off Tom Jeffs and then John Cookson in the second.
