ARTISTIC students at Evesham High School have been inspired by works of art from the past - and their creations are now being put on display next to them.

Pupils from the school visited the Museum of Worcester Porcelain for a behind-the-scenes tour and look at the archives. They also learnt various skills at the museum's factory in Severn Street, Worcester, including figure-making.

They went back to the school workshop to use their new skills in a project entitled Patterns, Feet, Knobs and Handles.

The project, organised by head of art, Maggie Hobbs, involved looking at shape and form and creating pots and urns.

Museum curator Wendy Cook said the pupils had produced some wonderful work.
