West Bromwich II 2,
Pershore II 7.
PERSHORE travelled up the M5 for their first DTZ League fixture after the the Christmas break with a team boasting a good mix of youth and experience.
Early pressure was competently dealt with by a rearranged defence enabling 15-year-old Anderson to settle into goal in only his second league match.
Pershore were fortunate to take the lead following a series of short corners, Crowley miscueing a shot so badly that the home goalkeeper had time to get up from his initial dive before the ball passed through his legs.
West Brom struck back almost at once with a fine individual strike.
More pressure from Pershore then brought three further goals before half-time, one each for Rushin and Smith before the goal of the game created by Emsley's excellent run and finished in style from the edge of the circle by Pass-more.
West Brom grabbed a second to leave the visitors 4-2 ahead at the break.
The hosts again started the half strongly almost reducing the deficit several times. How-ever, a tactical switch nullified their progress and Pershore went fully on the attack. Smith and Massingham combined well on the left to set up a second for Passmore.
And, with Taylor and Mass-ingham orchestrating the moves from midfield, Smith was able to complete another hat-trick for the club.
There was even time for further chances to be wasted before the final whistle.
