DEAR EDITOR - Once again after much criticism from the public of the service offered by our local police, the recent response/comments from Sgt Patz etc, seem to be the standard PR from the police to justify their jobs.
You cannot keep using the old chestnut, lack of funds or resources which is used for all excuses.
There seems to be no lack of manpower riding up and down the A38 Friday and Saturday nights?
It would appear "you police what you want to police" under the disguise of priorities. Crime is crime.
The point I wish to make is that after ever growing complaints, if the hierarchy are taking any notice of the ever increasing "criticism", somebody should be out of a job from the top down.
You know the pay and conditions when the job is offered you.
As you can read I am not frightened to put my name to this correspondence.
