ALVECHURCH manager Andy Hibbert saw his side crash out of the Worcestershire Senior Urn last night, days after their Smedley Crooke success against Burmans Hi-Ton.
With the knockout competitions keeping Church's season alive, the Smedley Crooke holders opened their defence of the trophy with an emphatic 4-0 win in what Hibbert described as a derby match.
Defender Mat Davis returned after a month out with a dislocated jaw as Alvechurch lost a five match unbeaten run.
He replaced Jon Slater who suffered a gashed ankle on Saturday.
And Hibbert's men are hoping to do their second double of the season at high-flying Romulus on Saturday (ko 2.45pm).
