INSPIRATIONAL quick bowler Nick Husbands could return as Bromsgrove Cricket Club's First team skipper.
Batsman Paul Duffy has stood down after a year in the role and Husbands is expected to be nominated for election at the club's annual meeting on Monday.
He said: "I would not have stood if Paul wanted to stay on. He was not happy with how it went last year but it wasn't his fault -- it was because we played badly."
Husbands captained the Birmingham and District Premier League side for five seasons but stood down last season.
The meeting at the clubhouse, in St Godwald's Road, starts at 7.30pm.
* Bromsgrove will welcome new pace bowler Mark Davidson this year. He joins from Feckenham.
