HEADLESS Cross Ladies had to endure another frustrating blank weekend after sitting out their fourth consecutive postponement.

The title hopefuls have not played since early December and have twice failed to stage their fixture at Southam and lost games against Birmingham University and Villa Veterans.

But manager Rob Auld is hoping to return to league action for a top-of-the-table clash at home to league leaders Fairfield Villa on Sunday (ko 2pm).

Fairfield are two points clear at the top but second placed Headless have two games in hand and a chance to reclaim top spot at the weekend.

Auld is hoping to add reinforcements to his squad and has asked any players interested to ring him on 07855 865692.

Attacking midfielder Beth Jarrett has left the club.

Redditch United women manager Steve Tayler saw his side romp to a 6-0 friendly win over Division One North side Darlaston Town Ladies at the weekend.

Mandy Ellicott grabbed three and Rachel Hopkins two but the goalscorers are doubtful for Sunday's return to league action at home to Birmingham University (ko 2pm) with injuries.

Nattalie Lawrence added the sixth.

Redditch were knocked into fourth at the weekend as Leafield took advantage of their inactivity to beat Villa Veterans 7-3 and go third.

Tayler is without reserve keeper Rachel Buckley after she damaged a thigh muscle, and has doubts over Kate Saint (ankle) and Becky Ankorn (knee).
