TOWN police are investigating the theft of a lorry fitted with a crane attachment belonging to Bromsgrove District Council.
It is believed to have been taken from the authority's Aston Fields depot last Thursday evening after gates to the site in Aston Road were forced.
The F-registered Leyland Daf lorry and Hiab crane are worth £3,000 and bear the council's logo.
The theft was discovered at 10.30pm.
