DAIRY farmers in Bromsgrove and Droitwich Spa are being urged to join talks next week to discuss the ever-decreasing price they get for milk.
Worcestershire farmers, along with representatives from First Milk, Dairy Crest and Morrisons will air their views on why the price of milk has fallen so low and what can be done about it.
The meeting will be held next Tuesday, January 22, at Droitwich Rugby Club, in Hanbury Road, at 7.30pm.
Organiser, Worcestershire's National Farmers Union chairman, Michael Oakes, said:
"Farmers are just getting over foot and mouth and then two-and-a-half pence per litre has been taken off the price the farmer gets for milk because the quantity of milk is not needed at the moment with all of the export restrictions still in place.
"We are hoping by getting a representative from every area of the dairy industry we will all be able to air our views and come up with some solutions.
"All of the dairy farmers in the area are welcome to come along.
"We are planning a question time, so everyone will be able to have their say."
