BROMSGROVE Town Boys U13s followed in the footsteps of their heroes when they were given the chance to take part in a penalty shoot-out at Birmingham City.
The competition, with each player taking two penalties against a Birmingham City Academy goalkeeper, took place at St Andrew's before the clash with Walsall on Saturday Dec-ember 22.
Town manager Carl Albrow said: "Most of the players, if not all, were a little nervous but you could clearly see the confidence flooding back as soon as the first penalty was taken.
"The majority of the players are Blues fans but not all. In some cases there were players more eager to put the ball in the net for obvious reasons.
"Hopefully it will be an experience they will remember for a long time."
After the shoot-out, the squad - currently top of the Central Warwickshire Youth League Premier Division - watched the game from the executive area of the ground.
