TWO goals in the last 11 minutes ended Droit-wich Sports' hopes of an away victory in Midland Combination Division Three as they went down 2-1 at Knowle Reserves.
Sports dominated the early encounters and were rewarded in the 24th minute when a well worked move resulted in Andy Crowther slotting the ball home from inside the box.
Stuart James had a chance to double the advantage but he fluffed his shot when the ball was played across to him.
For the rest of the first half Sports looked solid at the back, with Darren Maycroft again playing well, but the attack failed to create chances.
The second half continued in the same vein until the 79th minute when Sports gave away a penalty which was gratefully accepted for the equaliser. Knowle then played with more confidence and scored the winner six minutes from time, a headed goal from a corner.
