FAIRFIELD Sunday ran out of steam in their 2-0 defeat at Hymatic Allendale.
Playing their first game for a month, Fairfield started well and only a fine save by Hymatic's keeper, Dave Inman, from Chris Pinfield's header kept the scores level.
Early in the second half both keepers were called into action to make good saves and the game looked to be deadlocked.
But ten minutes from the end, a defensive mistake allowed Hymatic to take the lead and with Fairfield players beginning to tire, the hosts made the game safe from a free kick.
