BROMSGROVE U13s 39 Dudley Kingswinford 0. Sunday was the under U13s' first game for a month but the break did not appear to have had any impact on Town's performance.

Visitors Dudley Kingswinford's good results came to an end against a Bromsgrove team in superb form in all positions.

The team's ability to move the ball wide resulted in five of their seven tries being scored from the wings. Tom Bradley scored twice on his debut, Aaron Mulligan had two on his return from injury and Sam Schofield scored the other.

Number eight Matthew Newman scored twice, once from a scrum pick up and the second following up a forward drive.

The team performed very well with centres Ben Raybould and Scott Morris making numerous chances, prop Jon Cadman showing great strength in the mauls and lock Matthew Edgar always available to support.

The squad's strength in depth was demonstrated with 27 players getting a game and the performance level being maintained whichever combination was on the field.

Dudley Kingswinford RFC U15s 7 Bromsgrove RFC U15s 24. Bromsgrove were quickly into their stride. A series of strong forward drives and good linking through the three quarters created several attacking opportunities.

James Upton and James Hall scored tries while several other chances went begging with silly mistakes.

A lack of discipline in the second half disrupted the pattern of play as the game became fragmented. Dudley capitalised on Bromsgrove's lack of discipline by scoring a converted penalty try.

However, two passages of simple play saw Kyle Eadie giving perfectly weighted passes to Martin Hubbleday to run in two tries. Hubbleday added two conversions.

Dudley Kingswinford U16s 7 Bromsgrove U16s 10. Bromsgrove faced the only team to have beaten them this season and made amends for that defeat.

The match began with Bromsgrove failing to convert pressure into points. Bromsgrove were totally committed and dominated the first half with the forwards working hard to take control.

Bromsgrove's first try came from a great solo effort from Warren Oliver. Dudley were desperate to pull back a try but faced strong defence from Joe Baker, Tom Rostrup and George Edgington, who all had an excellent game. Warren Oliver took advantage of a loose ball and kicked through for winger Alex Cawston to gather and touch down.

Dudley were spurred into action and replied with a try. This made for a great finale and nail-biting ten minutes. Bromsgrove were not to be denied and held on to win. MoM Joe Baker.
