WOODRUSH kept their slender survival hopes alive with their second win of the season at the weekend.
The Icknield Street side exacted vengeance for a 40-0 hammering at the hands of Coventry Welsh earlier in the season with a timely 15-8 home win.
The hosts looked to be heading for the Midlands West Four South trapdoor before the weekend with their sole win at the expense of struggling Stourport.
But victory means Paul Moore's men can still pull off an unlikely escape act if they can pick up at least five points in their final seven matches. With third from bottom neighbours Kings Norton their next league opponents, Moore will be hoping his battlers can stay on a roll and drag Kings into the relegation picture by beating them in a fortnight.
Woodrush visit North Midlands One neighbours Five Ways Old Edwardians in a friendly on Saturday (ko 2.15pm).
And Moore will be hoping for a win against lower league opponents who are on the slide after seven straight defeats.
