ALCESTER captain Alan Williams conceded his side had probably blown their promotion hopes with a disastrous loss against lowly Trinity Guild at the weekend.
The 28-0 reverse leaves the Kings Coughton side needing to make up at least seven points on second placed Shipston.
If Alcester do beat Coventry Marconi at home on their return to league action, they will be the first Warwickshire One side to do so this season but Williams said he will have no problem motivating his players for the friendly visit of North Midlands Two strugglers Bournville on Saturday (ko 2.15pm).
