REDDITCH showed no mercy to league basement boys Warley as they steamrollered the visitors 55-0 at the weekend.
Kingfishers skipper Mark Rose set his side the task of boosting a disappointing points difference and Redditch did so with aplomb with Andy Irvine claiming a hat-trick, Carl Smith two and Kenny Hadley, Lee Williams, Neil Hodgkins and Stan Hall joining in the fun.
A penalty and conversion for Mark Morris and conversion and drop goal for vice captain Gareth Davis completed a good day's work at Bromsgrove Road.
Rose's troops face a stiffer task at the weekend when they try a third time to stage their North Midlands One game in hand at third-placed Veyseyans (ko 2.15pm).
With the top two playing friendlies, a win for Redditch would see them go third, on the same points as second-placed Edwardians and two behind leaders Yardley and District who the Kingfishers have another meeting with.
Rose reported an unchanged squad for Saturday's crucial fixture.
