CONCERNED St Georges residents have launched a petition against the removal of six trees from their close.
Residents claim they were not consulted or warned the trees on Beoley Road West were going to be cut down.
The petition has been submitted to Redditch Council and a report will be discussed during a public and environmental services committee next Tuesday
The report states that three of the trees were felled for safety reasons and the others were removed to allow remaining trees to mature properly, improve the light from lampposts and stop drains being blocked from any roots.
