TOWN councillors will next week be updated on the huge success of a scheme launched last year to clean up the streets of Redditch.
Since June, a monthly monitoring scheme has been operating, looking at the cleanliness of footpaths, streets, play areas, community car parks and other public areas.
These areas are then graded based on the Code of Practice on Litter and Refuse (Environmental Protection Act 1980) within each of Redditch's five sectors.
The scores Redditch came out with proved to be equal to or above the targets which had been set.
