THIS rustic scene was photographed in 1930.
It shows Ron Styler, of Hunt End, in the foreground with his grandfather William Styler driving cattle from Berrow Hill, near Feckenham, to Poplar Lane, near the site of an electricity substation.
The picture was taken in Alcester Road in Feckenham just above the present Lygon Arms but the postcard itself shows the Yew Tree Inn.
It was kindly loaned by Jeff Lane, of Mount Pleasant, Southcrest.
Old pictures of Redditch and the surrounding villages can be sent to Julian Seva at the Advertiser and will be returned once used.
