STAFF and children at a Worcester nursery, devastated by the terrorist attacks on September 11, have raised more than £100 for the Fire Brigade appeal.
Children as young as three months from the Kindergarten, in Warndon, helped colour in sections of a huge drawn test tube each time they received £10 towards the fund.
"We found parents and staff were so touched by the event that donations came flying in," said nursery manager Diane King.
"The staff also did their bit with a non-uniform day every Friday, raising £1 per person."
Mrs King said the youngsters, who dressed as firefighters to thank the Hereford and Worcester brigade for coming to pick up the cheque, were devastated by the attacks.
